What's next for Mariposa Web Design?

Owning a small business means always looking for ways to grow.  I recently acquired LIProDesign.com as the first step in adding value to my business.  Through LIProDesign.com, customers will be able to order hosting and maintenance plans.  With website hosting and maintenance, customers can rest assured that their needs will be taken care of.

With a Mariposa Web Design hosting and maintenance plan, I will take care of all of my customers' maintenance needs.  Website content updates, bug fixes or anything else they might encounter.  Mariposa Web Design and LIProDesign.com are there to help.  No need to invest in a full or part time in house web master.  Hosting and maintenance plans will only cost a small monthly fee for a lot of peace of mind!

Who is Mariposa Web Design?

I suppose I should formally introduce myself.  My name is Sharon Guzman.  I established Mariposa Web Design in 2008 as a sole proprietorship.  It was the beginning of my 5 year plan to build the business and become completely independent by the end of that 5 years.

Mariposa Web Design provides affordable web design solutions to small businesses primarily on Long Island and NYC's 5 boroughs.

I was 10 years into a successful communications career when I decided that I loved working with computers and the internet.  It was then that I decided to take a chance and change my career.  I went back to school and earned my Master's in Information Systems/Management.  In hindsight, as great as that is, it didn't teach me the practical skills I needed to do the work I wanted to do.

That didn't deter me.  Instead, I begin teaching myself those skills through books and research.  I made a few websites of my own to practice, eventually selling my services dirt cheap to customers with next to no web design budget so they could get a website and I could build a web design portfolio.

I ran Mariposa Web Design as a small side business for four years before finally stepping out on my own to build websites full time for small businesses in the area in late summer 2012.
